Don’t buy “The Visual Story” by Bruce Block from the Downtown bookstore. It took them over a month to send me my copy, after which time we had already taken three quizzes on it. Thankfully I “found” the textbook online for free or else I would’ve gotten three 0’s on those quizzes because of UCF’s incompetence in delivering the textbook I bought a week before class started. As for the class itself, it’s a pretty simple and straightforward class about using color and lines and shape and stuff in film and movies while also talking about finances and budgets. It’s a very strange combination of topics to cover for sure.

Had this class online. Extremely boring and repetitive, but pretty easy. Croft had pre-recorded lectures that had the computer date at the bottom say 2013, along with the corresponding 2013 Microsoft software.

The class is super easy. You can find the textbook online so don't bother spending your money on it, but you will need it. A lot of the time his lectures for the week would not correlate to the discussion and quiz for that week and he seemed to have the class set up in a terrible way (i'm suspecting it's because he is a boomer). Also don't bother emailing him because he will most likely A) not respond B) not answer your question or C) answer at the end of the semester.

Great professor and class! Learned a lot about video techniques and anything related to that that goes into game design. Professor friendly and nice to talk to.
Don’t leave videos for the last moment to create.
